Ian
has been a Lay Reader in the Church of England over 20 years.
He was licensed in Southwell Minster on 10 October, 1988, and began his
ministry in the rural parishes of Farndon, Hawton, Cotham and Thorpe,
to the south of Newark-on-Trent, regularly leading worship and
preaching in each of these places.
For a very of reasons, and feeling God's calling to do so, he
transferred his ministry to the town district of Christ Church in May
1992, and has continued there since.
His ministry has extended to taking Holy Communion to the sick and
housebound, and also between 1996 and 2000 leading 'Alpha' courses.
2009 has seen him begin a ministry of leading funeral services.
On these pages, you can read various shorter writings of his, including
essays written of New and Old Testament studies during 1986-88 as part
of his Reader training.
